Adam Tihany
Adam D. Tihany is now considered the world's leading hospitality designer. His sophisticated, often groundbreaking designs are partly the result of his unique global perspective. After graduating from the Politecnico di Milano, a school of architecture and urban planning, Tihany apprenticed with design firms in Europe. Shortly after moving to New York City in 1976, Tihany established his own multidisciplinary studio that encompassed all aspects of design-from commercial and residential interiors to furniture, products, exhibitions, and graphics. His extraordinary contributions to the design world have been recognized with numerous awards, including an honorary doctorate from the New York School of Interior Design. In 2001, he was named Bon Appetit magazine's Designer of the Year, and in the same year he was named Who's Who in Food and Beverage in the United States.
