Aksu & Suardi Studio

Aksu & Suardi Studio is a joint project of Turkish-German designer Sezgin Aksu and Italian architect Silvia Suardi. The pair came together during an engagement at the Michele de Lucchi studio, from which they separated in 2001. In their own studio in Milan, they create interior design for the private and public sectors. They are also involved in exhibition work, furniture design and graphic design. A distinctive feature of Aksu/Suardi' s work is the clash of the two artists' different cultural roots. Their authentic work has inspired clients from premium brands such as Antonangeli, Caimi Brevetti, Thonet and Slide. In addition to her central studio work, Sezgin Aksu is a teacher at the European Design Institute. Silvia Suardi collaborates with many international trade magazines, has published several publications and teaches at several universities. Studio Aksu/Suardi has won numerous design awards, including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2007.

For the plastic furniture brand Slide, Aksu/Suardi created the modern, playful and durable DOTS bowl for outdoor use. In the ALAX e-shop you will find it in a variety of trendy colours or also in a luminous version.
