Alessandro Becchi

Alessandro Becchi, innovative designer and creator of the iconic Giovannetti products, was born in 1946 in Florence, Italy. He brought a fresh aesthetic to the portfolio and, in addition to the Anfibio sofa, which he presented at MoMA in New York in 1972, he also designed the Papessa recliner and the Le Bugie series of armchairs. He had a good personal and professional relationship with the founder of the brand until the end of his life. He died in 1987.
