Antonino Sciortino
Antonino Sciortino was born in Palermo. When he was only eight years old, he began forging iron in his father's studio. He worked mainly with soft iron, which is relatively malleable and therefore easier to handle. For Serax, he designed an exclusive collection for the wider market. The side tables and iron bowls give the impression of sculptures and retain a purposeful personality thanks to the artistic finish (brush painting and polishing). With their clean shapes, vintage-tinged look and finish, they are guaranteed to fit perfectly into countless interiors.
Some people just have art in their veins. This is the case with Antonino Scirantino. The former dancer and choreographer not only has an unbridled imagination, but also masters the art of simplicity and style. These aspects are reflected in every product he designs. His skill and distinctive design are embedded, for example, in the tables of the ACCURSIO collection he created for Lacividina. The impeccably wrought bases reflect his traditional craftsmanship and their unique and distinctive look transports you to fifteenth-century Venice.
