Antonio Citterio

Antonio Cittero was born in Meda, Italy in 1950. He opened his own studio in 1972, but only finished his architectural studies at the Politecnico di Milano in 1975. His studio has an international presence and develops complex long-term projects in collaboration with an extensive network of highly qualified professional consultants. In addition to working with Vitra, Antonio Citterio creates industrial design projects for companies such as Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor / Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec. His studio has won numerous awards including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1995. From 2006 to 2016, Citterio was a professor of architecture at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio.
