AQUILIALBERG

Laura Aquili and Ergian Alberg have made a name for themselves in the world of design as the creators of the SIGMY coffee table made of bent glass. The up-and-coming designers gained their first experience in leading European offices, including Zaha Hadid Architects, and in 2006 they founded their own studio AquiliAlberg, which focuses on architecture, product and graphic design. Both artists share an experimental and innovative approach that combines the high-tech experience gained from working abroad with traditional values in the fields of architecture, art and design. These practices have proven successful for the pair in their collaborations with brands such as Serralunga, Ritzenhoff, FIAM and other prestigious companies.

In addition to their creative work, Laura and Ergian write for several Italian magazines and newspapers, and have also founded a blog called "Des-art-chitecture", which explores the emotional, digital and technological crossover between design, art and architecture. During their stay in the Netherlands, they were engaged in teaching activities. AquiliAlberg's design milestones include a storefront for the Moroso brand, a new headquarters, offices and auction space they designed for Christie's. They are currently working on the design of a new marina in Jesolo. You can buy things like the MILO coffee table by Serralunga from the popular duo.
