Bazzicalupo & Mangiarotti

Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti are Italian designers working under the joint brand deepdesign. The studio specialises in product design - from food packaging, to consumer electronics, to furniture and cosmetics. They have created iconic installations and products for companies and institutions in a wide range of industries, including Coca Cola, Daimler Chrysler, Glaxo Smithkline, JVC, Kitchen Aids, Panasonic, Whirlpool and SMEG. For their successful work, Raffaella and Matteo have collected a number of prestigious design awards, including the Young & Design, ID Award, Selezione Compasso d'Oro and Green Dot Award. The Dandelion lamp is part of the permanent exhibition of design and architecture at the MoMA Museum of Modern Art in New York. Both artists have also lectured at Milan Polytechnic and other schools. In addition, Raffaella is an adjunct scholar at the Polytechnic.
