Benjamin Hubert

Benjamin Hubert is a London-based industrial designer who was born in the UK in 1984 and studied at Loughborough University. He graduated in 2006 with a degree in Industrial Design and Technology. His time at university allowed him to acquire a wide range of skills. After university he worked in several agencies across the UK. He brings a playful expression with attention to detail in everything he creates.

He founded his studio Layer in 2007 in London. One of their early successes was the Decode Heavy award. The studio specialises in materials driven industrial design across the furniture and lighting industry in collaboration with international European manufacturers. He has worked with some of the world's biggest brands including Nike, Samsung, Braun and PepsiCo. His work can be found in the Hula collection of bar stools he designed for Andrea World.
