Boris Klimek

Designer Boris Klimek was born in 1984 in Martin, Slovakia. He graduated from the Product and Conceptual Design Studio of the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Zlín. Afterwards he gained a lot of valuable experience on internships in England, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In Prague he studied under Michal Froňek and Jan Němeček from the famous Olgoj Chorchoj studio. Apart from functionality, his work is influenced by playfulness and poeticism; through his designs he tells stories that evoke emotions. He has won numerous design awards for his creations. Award-winning products include the Element collection of seating furniture and Bunker, which he designed for the Czech brand mminterier.
