Burkhard Vogtherr
Burkhard Vogtherr was born in 1942. His first job was a slight departure from design, as he worked as a joiner, but he later found his way to design when he studied industrial design in Kassel and Wuppertal and graduated in 1967. Since 1972 he has worked as a freelance designer with various companies including Arflex, Bushi-Urushi, Cappellini, Davis Furniture INC, Dietiker, Fritz Hansen, Rosenthal and Wittmann. He has won numerous awards, including Gute Form (1969), Schöner Wohnen Product of the Year (1986) and Deutsche Auswahl LGA Stuttgart.
