Carlos Tíscar
Although Carlos Tíscar started designing at the age of six, he had to study and graduate from the School of Applied Arts in Valencia in 1982, majoring in industrial design. Two years later he moved to Italy and graduated from the Scuola Politécnica di Design di Milano. He then began to work professionally in design as a member of the Factoría Diseño Industrial group and as a partner of Gesto Design Management. Since 1993 he has been running his own studio, Tíscar Design. In addition to his studies, he has worked as a professor in several institutions and schools, such as Barreira (Valencia), AIMME (Paterna) and Eset CEU (Alfara del Patriarca) and EASD (Valencia) from 2012 to 2015. In addition, he was Vice President of the ADCV (Association of Designers of the Valencian Community) from 2012 to 2015. For his work, he has received, among others, two Valencian Innovation Awards, four ADCV Gold Awards, a Good Design Award, a German Design Award and an iF Design Award.
