Charlotte Høncke
Danish designer Charlotte Høncke studied industrial design at the Danish School of Architecture in 2002, but soon discovered that furniture design was her passion. In 2010 she set up her own studio in Aarhus. Here Charlotte designs furniture, lamps and related products, especially for the home. She has a special talent for combining functionality and aesthetics with small fascinating details, so that her designs surprise and arouse curiosity.
The form of her designs is usually very clean and simple, while playfully approaching details with elements such as seams, buttons, etc. Her furniture is unpretentiously cosy and witty at the same time. The design of the seating collection she created for Softline features rounded organic shapes and soft Scandinavian colours, and is inspired by Charlotte's own children and the children of her friends.
