Dante Bonuccelli
Dante Bonuccelli was born in 1956 in Buenos Aires, where he also studied architecture. A few years after graduating, he founded Avenue Architects, an architecture and design studio in Milan. He has worked for international companies such as IBM, Hoechst, Johnson Controls, Eni, Ansaldo, Infostrada, Philips and Vodafone. At Foster & Partners, he designed the furniture of London's Albion Wharf Riverside. He has also worked as a design consultant for Dada, Unifor and Schönbuch.
His designs have been featured in over 50 publications and exhibited in several international exhibitions. His philosophy is that the ideal design is the result of a new concept. It is functional, becomes timeless and has harmonious shapes. He has fully demonstrated this with the creation of the minimalist S7 hallway set he created for Schönbuch. The name is derived from the characteristic element for this assembly - a wall-mounted aluminium shelf with a thickness of 7 mm. The system also includes wall-mounted sideboards, cabinets and modular units with doors and drawers.
