David Trubridge
David Trubridge is a New Zealand designer whose favourite material is wood and whose intellectual world is respect for nature. Although he is geographically distant from it, there are obvious similarities between his work and that of Finnish designers who live in sparsely populated countryside. After creating his home edition, DTL developed the Coral chandelier in 2004, which has become a model for his upcoming work, and is made from wood from New Zealand forests that are responsibly managed to save nature. David Trubridge 's work is considered emblematic of the "raw sophistication" movement and environmentally responsible design. His work has been published in many journals. In 2008, Express magazine listed David Trubridge as one of the world's 15 most influential designers, and four years later the Centre Pompidou included his Icarus chandelier in its permanent collection. In addition to his legendary chandeliers and designer lighting, the WAKA ottoman he designed for Offecct is also worth mentioning.
