Fabio Rotella

Fabio Rotella was born in Catanzaro but soon moved to Milan to study design and architecture. He started working with the Mendini studio where he is coordinator of architectural, design and event projects. In 1996 Rotella created his own studio and also became a consultant for internationally known brands. Thanks to his knowledge, he works as an art director for companies and coordinator of artistic and cultural events.

His source of conceptual ideas and reference points are applied arts: large-scale architectural projects, conceptual architectures of large public spaces or everyday objects, and even when he is working on large-scale projects, he has created, for example, the Bubo design table lamp for the company Slide. His international fame is constantly supported by his participation in global initiatives and his work is highly regarded in the design world.
