Finn Østergaard

Finn Østergaard graduated in furniture architecture in 1975, set up his own design office the previous year and has been an independent designer ever since. The designer's versatile and creative talents are reflected in a wide selection of award-winning chairs made from durable materials, such as the Andrup chair designed for Kragelund Furniture with a solid wooden seat and rounded slats and legs. The chair has a solid construction and a lightweight appearance.

In late 2012, the designer and his eponymous company Finn Østergaard won gold in China for best design and innovation and silver in 2013 at the world's largest trade fair, CIFF. Today, he works with Danish, Swedish, Spanish and Dutch factories, for which, in addition to furniture, he also designs carpets and lamps. 25 years ago Finn opened his own chair shop, which was the first specialised shop in Scandinavia.
