Francesco Bolis
Francesco Bolis was born in 1980 in Milan and works as an architectural and interior photographer. After working as an assistant for several photographers, he started his freelance career in 2010. His special interest in architecture, interiors, urban and industrial landscapes led him to a continuous and permanent collaboration with Driade, for which he led projects, set artistic directions and designed the graphic design for the latest catalogues and related photographic sections on show for Milan Design Week 2012 and 2013.
Throughout his career he has reproduced and documented travel, portraits, architecture, sculptures and installation works. In September 2010, his photographs were selected for a permanent exhibition at MAXXI - National Museum of XXI Century Art, and published in various magazines and newspapers and in the MAXXI 2012 advertising campaign. His work has appeared in specialty and cover magazines such as Ideat, Elle Decor Us, AD, Interior + design, plus various art books, catalogues, periodicals such as Electa and Phaidon Press. In 2013, he presented his first design project Miro, a mirrored folding screen for Driade that combines photographs into a screen-like object.
