Franco Bertoli & Max Pajetta

Franco Bertoli is an architect in Milan, where he is not only an architect but also a designer in the broadest possible sense. In his practice he has gained experience from product construction to design and vice versa. Since 2009 he has been the artistic director of the Geromin Group.

Max Pajetta was born in Milan in 1956 into a family with a long tradition of artists. After working in important Italian studios in architecture and design, he founded CP & PR Associati with his brother Giorgio in the early 1970s and subsequently Studio Associato Giorgio and Max Pajetta. Both designers collaborated with Metalmobil, for which they created the Duo chair collection. Here, the minimalist metal structure is complemented by an upholstered seat and backrest, and its clean and elegant lines give it an airy feel.
