Franco Raggi


Franco Raggi was born in 1945 in Milan. With an interest in the creative arts, he studied architecture at the Milan Polytechnic, graduating successfully in 1969. After his studies, his curiosity led him to explore avenues outside traditional architecture, which led him to explore fields such as industrial design, graphic design and lighting design, in addition to his interest in authorship. He worked as editor of the architecture magazine Casabella and later as editor-in-chief and manager of the design magazine MODO. This multidisciplinary outlook allowed Raggi to draw inspiration from a variety of sources and bring new perspectives to his work. Throughout his career, Raggi has had the opportunity to work with prestigious design firms and visionary architects, contributing significantly to the development of design, and has also taught at prestigious Italian universities.


His creative output seamlessly blended form and function, with meticulous attention to detail and quality. His designs exude an elegant and refined aesthetic, characterised by clean lines, thoughtful proportions and innovative use of materials. Raggi's exceptional contribution to the world of design has not gone unnoticed. His designs have won prestigious awards and honours, earning him numerous accolades in the industry. His work has also been exhibited in renowned galleries and museums.
