Giancarlo Zema


Italian architect and designer Giancarlo Zema was born in Rome in 1973. His education took place at the University of Rome La Sapienza under the guidance of Professor Giovanni Zuccon, a leader on the international architectural scene. In 2001, he founded his own studio, Giancarlo Zema Design Group (GZDG), which focuses on environmentally sustainable projects and unusual commissions such as floating habitats and yachts. However, he has also created many hotels, water projects, a pedestrian bridge, sports facilities, restaurants and many more. Notable works include the smart charging stations for electric cars located throughout Italy. Giancarlo Zema collaborates with world-renowned brands, for example he designed the original RING collection for Giovannetti . He has a very varied professional life, often appearing on TV shows, exhibiting his products at international exhibitions and with numerous publications under his belt.
