Giulia Foscari
Architect, curator and activist. Giulia Foscari is a multidisciplinary artist working in Europe, Asia and America. She founded her own Venetian architecture studio UNLESS and its alter ego UNA. She deals with contemporary art projects, exhibition design, private houses and publishing. The emphasis on the preservation of monuments is one of the important points of the studio's operation.
Giulia Foscari is also a member of the International Council of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and the Antarctic Southern Ocean Coalition. She has also taught at the University of Hong Kong and at the Architectural Association in London, and has collaborated with Zaha Hadid and Rem Koolhaas. Her work is represented in our portfolio by the luminaires designed for the ARTEMIDE brand.
