Glen Oliver Loew

Glen is from Leverkusen, Germany. He successfully graduated in industrial design from the University of Wuppertal. He then decided to continue his master's studies at the private Domus Academy in Milan. Already in 1987, Glen Loew started working with the architect and designer Antonio Citterio and three years later became a partner in Antonio Citterio & Partners. The fruitful collaboration between the two designers resulted in successful products for companies such as Ansorg, Flos, Hackman, Iittala, Kartell, Vitra and Vitrashop.

At the turn of the millennium, Oliver began his career as a professor at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg, while also working creatively in his own studio. Long-term clients of the studio include Steelcase, Thonet and Knoll. Oliver Loew has received numerous design awards for his designs, including the Compasso d'Oro for Kartell's Mobil containers. In addition, the Battista folding table and the Mobil containers are part of the permanent exhibition at MoMA in New York. The Think chair created for Steelcase won the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Award in 2005 and the IDEA Gold Award a year later. Today, Oliver serves on the juries of these competitions, among others.
