Henrik Sørig Thomsen

Born in Denmark, designer Henrik Sørig Thomsen is now based in Århus with his own studio. He graduated from Denmarks Designskole in Copenhagen, where he studied industrial design and joinery. Thomsen uses his experience as an industrial designer and cabinetmaker to design furniture. His favourite part of designing is the process in the early stages, when everything is still possible.

Henrik Sørig Thomsen is a designer who loves creating objects that stimulate our senses, creating things that are not defined in time. "A design is successful when the product continues to surprise and bring pleasure long after the purchase." He enjoys working with objects that stimulate our senses. The products we encounter every day must not distract from the essence, instead they must encourage free expression. This philosophy is exactly captured by the Wing chair collection he created for Airnova.
