Hiromichi Konno
Hiromichi Konno was born in 1972. He is a Japanese designer with an international perspective. He studied in Japan and Sweden and also lived in London for many years. His style is very unique and his designs have a special energy. His aim is to create a new type of chair that is in line with Japanese and Danish design traditions. Hiromichi has gained international recognition and works for many large companies and manufacturers around the world, especially in Scandinavia, e.g. Georg Jensen, Fritz Hansen, Lexon, Stelton, Skagen. Hiromichi's style is unique, exuding a special energy in keeping with tradition.
In 2009 he won the ELLE DECO Japan award for Japanese talent and in 2013 he won the Red Dot Design Award for his Skagen watches. He now works for major companies and manufacturers around the world and is particularly sought after in Scandinavia. His unique style can be admired in the Chat chair collection he created for Softline.
