Jan Padrnos
Jan Padrnoš was born in 1967 in Kutná Hora and entered the world of professional design shortly before 2000. The path led in a roundabout way through the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague and a four-year internship at Ahrend, where he encountered design as an interior architect. A truly professional career started with the founding of Blackbox in 2000. Under this brand Jan Pardnoš exhibited his works at prestigious modern design shows in Milan, New York, Saint -Étienne and Blackbox furniture became part of several collections of Czech design presented at exhibitions in Vienna, Brussels, Essen, etc. He has also participated in Czech design exhibitions and his work can be found in the collections of the Moravian Gallery in Brno, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, the National Technical Museum and the North Bohemian Museum in Liberec.
