Jesper Elg

Jesper Elg is a prominent and respected figure on the international art scene. He is the founder and artistic director of the pioneering contemporary art gallery V1, which has been one of the leading cultural institutions in Denmark and abroad since 2002. He has been involved in numerous non-profit projects and public presentations and has exhibited at world-renowned venues and events such as The Royal Theatre in London, the Roskilde Festival in Denmark and the New Museum in New York.

The main focus of his work is on the integration of art into urban space, architecture and design, raising awareness of this topic and trying to spark a wider social debate. As a professional consultant and expert on the subject, he consults for countless companies and institutions.

He also works as an independent curator and has had spectacular presentations in Denmark and abroad, including the Chicken or Beef figurative group exhibition at The Hole in New York and the Bjarke Ingels group art exhibition at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

He was a member of the International Art Committee of the Danish Arts Council from 2011 to 2014 and a board member of the Danish Gallery Association. He is co-founder and co-owner of Chart Art.
