Jon Gasca

Jon Gasca was born in San Sebastian in 1967 and studied Industrial Engineering at the Universidad de Navarra. He then went to work for STUA with his father Jésus, who founded the company in 1984. Together, they have maintained an aesthetic that evokes classic modernism and timelessness in the production of furniture. "We try to give people a sense of well-being, not wealth," Gasca says. "We bring freshness and a sense of belonging." In keeping with these guiding principles, STUA has won numerous awards, including the Spanish National Design Award in 2009.

His design portfolio includes the COSTURA collection of comfortable sofas and armchairs, the minimalist SOLAPA tables, the MALENA armchairs, the NUBE armchairs he designed with his father, and the SATELLITE acoustic panels. Besides being a renowned designer, Gasca is also a photographer, art collector and blogger. With his keen eye and excellent taste, he highlights the best of contemporary art and design.
