Jordi Vilardell & Meritxell Vidal

Jordi Vilardell and Meritxell Vidal are designers from Barcelona, Spain. Together they run their own design studio Vilardell-Vidal, which specialises in lighting and installation design. Jordi Vilardell has a background in industrial design and worked for several leading lighting brands before setting up his own studio. Meritxell Vidal, on the other hand, has a background in graphic design and has been working in lighting design for over ten years. Together they have developed a unique design language that combines technical precision with an emphasis on aesthetic beauty. Their designs are characterised by the use of high quality materials, attention to detail and a commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. In addition to their design work, Jordi and Meritxell are also dedicated to promoting design education. They have taught lighting design courses at several Spanish universities and are passionate about inspiring the next generation.
