Jorge Garaje

Spanish industrial designer Jorge Garaje describes himself as being able to materialise ideas and thoughts and translate them into everyday objects. He always puts craftsmanship and quality of materials first, along with original design. He studied Fine Arts and Engineering in Industrial Design at the Higher School of Design in Madrid. In addition to designing lighting, furniture and accessories, he is also a professor at the Istituto Europeo di Design. His work has been exhibited in New York's MoMa gallery and Madrid's CentroCentro, among others, and has been part of many audiovisual and film projects. One of Jorge's most recent works is the CITRUS carpet, created in collaboration with the brand Gandia Blasco.
