Kateryna Sokolova

Industrial designer Kateryna Sokolova was born in 1984 in Ukraine, where she graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Art. She also participated in an internship at the German University Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle. She co-founded the brand NOOM and also SOKOLOVA design studio, which she also runs in Kiev. Her team works in a wide range of fields from furniture and lighting to electronics and the environment.

Kateryna Sokolova has also worked in the music industry. She developed and designed video and music hi-tech products in collaboration with the French company Jarre Technologies. She has worked with a number of world-renowned brands such as Ligne Roset, Bolia, Palau and Casala. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions with her designs, some of which have won awards. Among the most important ones is the Red Dot Design Award 2015.
