Leonardo Rossano
Architect and designer Leonardo Rossano graduated in 1991 in Florence and in the 1990s worked with the studio of architect Claudio Nardi, designing interiors for private residences, public spaces and boutiques for leading Italian designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, G. Ferrè and Valentino. Since 1998 he has been an independent designer of furniture, accessories, exhibition space and image companies. His clients include Lapalma, RF-Yamakawa and True Design.
Prior to becoming a teacher, he lectured at the Florence BA Fashion Design Studio until 2009 as assistant to Professor Roberto Segoni in "Industrial Design". Among the subjects he taught were "Furniture Product Design" and "Theory and History of Industrial Design." He currently teaches Design History at IED and Furniture Design for International Masters at the Florence Institute of Design International. He received the Chicago Athenaeum's 2013 "Good Design Award."
