Mario Trimarchi
Mario Trimarchi is an Italian designer who was born in Sicily. He studied architecture under Franco Purini, with whom he worked on several projects. In 1999 he founded FRAGILE, where he conducts his own design research alongside strategic positioning and communication projects for corporations and institutions. His work comes from aesthetic experiments focusing on the relationship between unstable geometries and sculpture, almost always accompanied by drawings and short illustrated stories. He has designed concepts and products for Philips or Siemens. He has also explored themes of communication. Since 2005 he is Professor of Corporate Identity at the University of Genoa UNIGE and since 2013 he has been teaching the Brand Design course of the Product Design degree program at NABA in Milan. He collaborates, for example, with Caimi Brevetti, a company specialized in acoustic solutions.
