MrSmith Studio
MrSmith Studio is a design consultancy founded in 2004 by Marc Mascetti. In search of a globally understood name and instinctive self-identification, the name MrSmith was born; overlaying the ideas of a designer with the skill of a blacksmith. In less than 15 years of operation, the studio has won more than 21 international design awards. Highlights include a glass bottle for Estathé, a Nutella jar for Ferrero and a chair for Calligaris.
MrSmith created the definition of "Design As An Input®", which is the ability to anticipate the use of design tools in a company in order to exploit their full competitive potential. MrSmith's open-space Milan studio is a multidisciplinary workshop hosting designers who share a holistic approach to projects; under the direction of MrSmith, who is now represented by Marco Mascetti and Silvia Bassani Antivari. In the past, the studio has collaborated with firms such as Alma Design and Calligaris.
