Norman Foster
Norman Foster was born in 1935 in Reddish, UK. He graduated from Manchester University in 1956 with a degree in Architecture and Planning and later studied at Yale University. After school he decided to be inspired by travel and spent a year touring the United States before returning to the UK in 1963 to set up his studio Team 4, later Foster and Partners. His work has won over 190 awards and over 50 prizes in national and international competitions. In 1990 he was created a Lord and created a peer.
