Olle Anderson
Olle Anderson studied civil engineering. He started his career at White Architects, where he became a partner. Eventually he started working in interior design and furniture and lighting design. In 1975 he created the interior design department of White Architects and in 1989 the subsidiary White Design. Anderson works in a wide range of architecture and design, and in recent years has also included textiles, glass and installations. The functionalist idea of creating something new where it is needed is evident in Anderson's work.
Anderson has worked in several countries as a professor and teacher and has been involved in various international projects, including the UK, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, Brazil, Estonia, Italy and South Africa. In the 1980s and 1990s, Anderson won the "Outstanding Swedish Design" award a total of 19 times. In 2004 he was awarded the Merit Award from the Bertil and Britt Svensson Foundation for his lighting. In the same year, he became an honorary doctor of the Chalmers Institute of Technology for his significant efforts in the field of interior architecture and design. He has collaborated with many of the world's major companies, including the Swedish firm Offecct.
