Paolo Orlandini
Paolo Orlandini was born in 1941 in Grosseto and studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. For about ten years he worked in the studio of Marco Zanuso Sr. and Richard Sapper and since 1968 he has collaborated with Roberto Lucci in the field of office supplies, with whom they have designed more than 500 products of chairs and kitchens. Their approach to design is based on the use of scale models, life-size models and motion mock-ups. Paolo teaches at the European Institute of Design, I.S.I.A. in Rome, Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Design di Milano and IUAV di Treviso. He has also been a visiting professor at various universities in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo) and Colombia (Bogota).
