Paolo Piva
The architect and designer who became famous for his popular furniture designs was born in 1950 in Adria, Italy. Paolo Piva graduated from the University Institute of Architecture in Venice, and by the time he finished his doctorate in Rome, he was beginning to make his mark on the public eye. Solo and group exhibitions, collaborations with the Institute of History and Architecture in Venice and the Akademie für Angewandten Kunst in Vienna, the design of the Kuwaiti embassy in Qatar, and conferences in Los Angeles, he did it all in the 1980s. In 1987 he was nominated for the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award and four years later became a professor. Paolo has collaborated with many international brands, for example he designed the BOSS seat for Giovannetti . He passed away in July 2017, but he left behind a significant design legacy forever.
