Per Weiss
Designer Per Weiss is the Chief Design Director of INNOVATION Living within the International Design Office. He became an important part of the brand in 1989 - a year after he successfully graduated as an industrial designer. He is responsible for product conception, design and marketing. This work resulted, among other things, in a close collaboration with Verner Panton just before his death in the late 1990s. Together they developed the Phantom chair and the Panto Beam lamp.
Per Weiss was born in Denmark in 1959 and, as a multi-talented artist, originally began his career as a professional musician. However, this changed after he was accepted to study architecture at the University of Aarhus in Denmark, as he has since focused his creativity solely on making his own designs. It should be added that during his studies he had already worked for a number of well-known Danish architects such as Friis & Moltke and Schmidt-Hammer & Lassen .
He certainly cannot be considered as a person who tries to squeeze his creative activity into limited working hours. As Weiss himself says, his approach to industrial design is very complex. He enjoys presenting his creativity on different platforms and has delivered designs to various Danish furniture companies, both through his own company and together with Innovation Living founder Flemming Højfeldt at Weiss Design Works.
