Stefano Giovannoni
Stefano Giovannoni was born in 1954 in La Spezia, studied architecture in Florence in 1978 and currently lives and works in Milan. From 1979 to 1991 he taught and researched at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, was Master-Professor at the Domus Academy in Milan, at del Progetto in Reggio Emilia and Professor of Industrial Design at the University of Architecture in Genoa. He works not only as an architect, but also as an industrial and interior designer and is particularly specialised in plastic products. He has worked with Alessi, Cedderoth, Deborah, Fiat, Flos, Hannstar, among others, and has designed very successful commercial products such as the original BLOW collection or the wide PILLOW range for the Vondom brand.
He has won many awards including the Shinkenchiku Residential Design Competition, Concorso per una Piazza a Santa Croce sull'Arno, Design Plus, Forum Design Hannover, Compasso d'oro and others. His works are part of the permanent archive of the Centre Georges Pompidou and the collection of MOMA in New York.
