Studio Gabbertas

Studio Gabbertas specializes in designing innovative and commercially relevant works. They design products that have real-world applications for end users. This approach to design often belies at first glance the amount of intensive analysis and complex engineering that Studio Gabbertas employs to make it successful, but the opposite is true. The studio is known for its rigorous pursuit of solutions that have both functional integrity and enduring aesthetics in the belief that it is too easy to shock, but much harder to please.

Studio Gabbertas was founded by Mark Gabbertas. Born in Yorkshire in 1962, Mark Gabbertas entered the world of furniture design after starting his working life in advertising - he changed careers and trained as a cabinet maker. In 2001 he set up Gabbertas Studio in West London to focus on furniture design.
