GIOVANNETTI is an Italian company that entered the market in the mid-1960s. From the very beginning, it tuned in to the wave of innovative international trends, creating new forms and new ways to satisfy the growing needs of customers. The company was founded by Benito Luigi Giovanetti, who still runs it today. GIOVANETTI is a brand open to young talented designers, giving them the opportunity to become known in the field of industrial design. The company is one of the most original not only in terms of design, but also in the quality of its handicraft. Chairs, sofas, armchairs, tables and sofas are part of the exhibition in several museums around the world, for example in London, New York, California and Australia. The birth of Giovanetti furniture
The Giovannetti brand was born in the mid-1960s out of a desire to innovate the furniture world and bring new and original products to it. The company has lived up to its vision, making Giovannetti one of the companies that have made their mark on the history of Made in Italy and design in general. The innovative spirit and the desire to impress were evident from the very beginning. An example is the Anfibio sofa (1970), a masterpiece by designer Alessandro Becchi. The sofa, which is a bit of a sofa and a bit of a bed, was awarded the Compasso D'Oro prize in 1972. The Anfibio sofa has enjoyed unprecedented success, with tens of thousands of models sold and several pieces exhibited in 13 museums around the world.

Design Awards
Giovannetti is the originator of many original designs, for which he has won not only the favour of his customers but also several prestigious awards. Already a few years after its creation in 1972, it could already boast the Compasso d'Oro award for the Anfibio sofa 1972. In 2003, the Gabbiano armchair won the Young & Design Gold Medal.
Just one year later, Giovannetti received a Young & Design Special Mention for the original Flower 2004 design armchair, and the following year a Young & Design Special Mention for the Dune modular sofa.
Giovannetti' s design products are not only successful in museum exhibitions or design awards, but also show up from time to time at design exhibitions. Since its foundation, the company has participated with its models in international exhibitions in Turin (Eurodomus), Milan, Paris, Cologne, Moscow, Seoul, Tokyo, Chicago, Malmö, Valencia, London, Dubai, Warsaw, Bari or Copenhagen. On the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the launch of the Anfibio sofa, the company even exhibited in the prestigious Napoleon Hall in Brera, Milan.
Giovanetti and international cooperation
Over the years, the company has collaborated with internationally renowned Italian personalities. To mention some of the famous names that have collaborated with Giovannetti over the years: Gae Aulenti, Tano Festa, Nanda Vigo, Fabio de Poli, Mario Schifano, Cicci Castiglioni, Marco Zanuso, Michele Provinciali, Mauro Lovi, Nicola Maria Martino, Silvio de Ponte, Sante Monachesi, Superstudio, Gregotti Associati, Cini Boeri, Archizoom, Maria Simoncini, Franco Poli, Dino Gavina and many others. Each of them has left their mark on the company's creative signature.
The founder of Giovannetti Collezioni himself has been invited by several chambers of commerce to hold training seminars for furniture distribution in Parma, Pescara, Venice or Rome. He also held several design courses at the Faculty of Architecture and Design in Florida and Calenzano. Such relationships brought enthusiastic trainees to the company, and there are even several dissertations on the company and its history. Giovannetti has always been a company focused on continuously improving the quality of its products and on finding ever greater efficiencies in its manufacturing processes.
