MEYTO
Czech brand MEYTO
Iconic furniture and accessories
MEYTO was founded in 2017 in Vysoké Mýto, a town that has been recorded in history as the cradle of legendary coachbuilders. It was born out of a collaboration between the parent company Tvarmetal s.r.o., UMPRUM and Olgoj Chorchoj Studio . It is mainly engaged in the production of dining and bar chairs for interior and exterior, tables and lamps. This brand has put a new coat on some iconic domestic pieces. Its debut took place in the form of an exhibition at the Prague House in Brussels as part of Design September. It was then presented at Designblok 2017 in Prague.
Inspiration from the past in a modern version
MEYTO collections primarily include the ESKA chairs and tables designed by Tereza Froňková, Olgoj Chorchoj studio and David Karásek for the famous restaurant of the same name in Karlín. It is a modernized version of the classic school chair, only much more comfortable and ergonomic. Even the BOHÉM model by Aleš Kachlík carries nostalgic references to the past. Both outdoor and indoor versions are available.
