ZEUS
Avant-garde furniture ZEUS
Modern minimalism
ZEUS was founded in 1984 by a group of friends who enjoyed design, fashion and art. Their goal was to merge and enrich all three industries with each other's new ideas. This idea gave birth to a boutique reminiscent of an art gallery selling custom fabrics and fashion collections representing Italian and international artists and minimalist and avant-garde examples of design. The brand's portfolio includes chairs, various types of tables and desks, benches, beds and accessories. For more information about this brand, please read our article.
ZEUS collaborates with designers
ZEUS sends out into the world its own design collections, backed by talented designers such as Maurizio Peregalli, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Ron Arad, Franco Raggi, Marie-Christine Dorner and Roberto Tognon.
How did the ZEUS brand come about?
Originally, the ZEUS brand could be considered as a precursor of the Fuorisalone (a series of events that take place every year in different areas of Milan). Of course, it didn't work then as it does today. In the 1980s, ZEUS organised shared presentations or exhibitions. Customers were communicated with at trade fairs, by sending paper leaflets or in person. It was then that several designers from the fields of fashion, design and art decided to join forces and create their own brand.
Research into new and traditional materials, handmade methods, high quality finishes and details are the hallmarks of ZEUS ' thirty-year tradition . The brand is always looking for simplicity and consistency in design and even with really unexpected looking materials, they can conjure a design piece out of almost anything, whether they get their hands on steel plate, linoleum, old wood or concrete, you can count on them to create a unique design piece.
ZEUS is a landmark of avant-garde and minimalist design. The ZEUS brand could also be seen during Fashion Week. Its design products were exhibited in the historic 1950s mansion - Blue Garage on Corso San Gottardo, right in the heart of Milan.
