Carlo Bimbi
Carlo Bimbi has been working in design for forty years. He received his diploma from the Advanced Institute for Industrial Arts in Florence in 1968 and now teaches at the same university. His early works date back to the late sixties with activities related to industrial design (taps, cars, tools, etc.). During the seventies and later he concentrated on furniture design. Carlo Bimbi designed and designs for Arketipo, Guzzini, Ciatti, B&B Italia, Zucchetti Rubinetterie.
For Segise, he designed the Enrico chair, winner of the Roscoe-Awards, and the Blitz chair, which won both the Red Dot and iF awards in 1998. Another company with which he established a successful collaboration was Metalmobil, for which Carlo Bimbi designed a collection of seating furniture, from which the Playa corner chair stands out.
