Fabio Di Bartolomei

Fabio di Bartolomei was born in Udine and founded the Di Bartolomei design studio in 1979, which focuses mainly on architecture and interior design and collaborates with other design firms in New York, Brisbane, Qld and Warsaw. During his tenure, he has created a harmonious balance between design and functionality, which is clearly expressed in his design work. He designs buildings and pieces of furniture, both public and private.

He has also launched partnerships with some of the most important Italian companies in the furniture sector, such as Fiam, Tonon, Bieffeplast, Montina, Calligaris and Skipper. The collaboration with Fiam began in 1992 on the design of a collection of 5 multifunctional pieces of furniture. Among them, the Tango coffee table received a major award from the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1995 and was included in the exhibition "Mutant Materials in Contemporary Design" due to its unusual combination of technology and design.
