Harri Koskinen
Harri Koskinen is a Finnish designer who was born in 1970 in Kartsula, Finland, and studied at the Institute of Art and Design in Helsinki. Harri's uncompromising and bold design aesthetic has earned him international fame since the beginning of his career. Practicality, restrained style and a conceptual approach to product and spatial design are Koskinen's hallmarks. In 2009 Koskinen launched his first eponymous collection, Harri Koskinen Works. Three years later, Koskinen was appointed design director of Iittala. Koskinen's work has been featured in exhibitions around the world. He has won a number of major design awards, including the Kaj Franck Design Prize (2014), the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Award (2009), the Pro Finlandia Medal (2007) and the Compasso d'Oro (2004).
