Héctor Serrano
Héctor Serrano was born in 1974 in Valencia, Spain. He studied Industrial Design at CEU, and then moved to London where he studied for an MA in Product Design at The Royal College of Art. In 2000 he founded his design office in London. His projects combine innovation with communicating ideas in an unusual and inventive way.
His office has won various awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, Designer of the Year and the Peugeot Design Award. Serrano's products have been widely exhibited in museums such as the V&A in London and the Cooper-Hewit National Design Museum in New York, as well as being part of various collections. In 2010, Hector founded Borealis, the company responsible for his exhibition projects and installations.
