Josep Mora
Josep Mora was born in Barcelona in 1951. He was a teacher at the prestigious Elisava design school in Barcelona. His design has always been associated with very technical and clever solutions related to movement. Maybe that's why he designed a range of bicycles. The latest of these is a wooden version produced for the shoe company Camper. He later moved to Rwanda and continued his work by helping children physically disabled after the war. He devoted himself to creating unique wheelchairs, using objects he commonly found around him. He even created a manual so that local people could continue his work.
In terms of interior design, he designed both versions of the Egoa chair for Stua, both the fixed frame model and the wheeled version. Both chairs embody a seemingly simple but intelligent and sophisticated mechanism.
