Luisa Bocchietto
The architect and designer Luisa Bocchietto graduated in 1985 in Milan from the Faculty of Architecture under Professor Marco Zanuso in Industrial Design and at the same time graduated from the IED in Interior Architecture. Since then she has been working in her own studio in Biella as a freelancer. Luisa credits her undeniable talent on many fronts - she has been a visiting professor at universities and design schools, has written texts on architecture and design, has held conferences in Italy and abroad, has written a book Abitare nel Biellese and continues to enrich the world with many other activities.
She also carries out activities to promote the quality of projects. She has been President of the Order of Architects in Biella and has worked with the National Council of Architects for two terms. From 2003-2008 she was President of ADI - Delegation of Piemonte and Valle D'Aosta and part of the organizing committee of the World Design Capital Turin. She was then National President of ADI - Association of Industrial Design for two terms until 2014. She is a member of the Italian Design Council, founder of CIDIC (Promotional Centre for Italian-Chinese Cooperation in Design) on behalf of ADI, curator of exhibitions in Italy and abroad in support of the Compasso d'Oro Award (Brussels 2014, Lima and Bogotá 2015). She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano and Consult (Faculty of Architecture and Design) of the Politecnico di Torino. Between 2017 and 2019 she was also President-elect of ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design).
