Martijn Hoogendijk

Born in 1970 in Bergambacht, the Netherlands,Martijn Hoogendijk is a Dutch award-winning designer who started his professional career in 1994 when his first piece of furniture was presented as part of the Droog Design collection during the Salone del Mobile in Milan. In 1996 he was one of the founding partners of Dumoffice, an internationally renowned design studio in Amsterdam working in furniture, lighting and interior design. Some of their designs have been acquired for the design collection of several internationally renowned museums. He was also a founding member of a collective of self-produced designers called "Dutch Individuals". In 2008, their furniture pieces formed the basis of a new Dutch furniture brand called DUM.

He joined Storeage, an agency specialising in retail design and strategy, in 2004, where he became Creative Director and worked for a wide range of clients around the world. Since 2016 he has been working as a freelance designer under his own name, based in Amsterdam. His work has also been published in a wide range of national and international magazines and books, and can be found amongst the collections of Italian company Cizeta in our portfolio.
